\nThe particles of BioMin\u00ae<\/sup>\u00a0are designed to be small enough to enter any exposed dentine tubules (small holes) and also able to precipitate\u00a0onto the tooth surfaces as the glass dissolves in saliva.\u00a0Once the dentine tubules have been occluded,\u00a0BioMin\u00ae<\/sup>\u00a0converts into\u00a0either acid resistant Fluorapatite (BioMin\u00ae<\/sup>\u00a0F) or an \u201capatite-like\u201d phase thought to be Octacalcium Phosphate (BioMin\u00ae<\/sup>\u00a0C). This process replicates the natural biological mineralisation.<\/p>\n
