Diagnosis and immediate treatment of TMJ disorders<\/h4>\n

The TMJ Appliance<\/em>\u00ae<\/sup>, which does not require any special fitting, is designed to act as an initial diagnostic and treatment tool for TMJ disorder. It works by decompressing the temporomandibular joint (TMJ), helps to correct mouth breathing and tongue posture habits, as well as limits bruxing.\u00a0The TMJ Appliance<\/em>\u00ae<\/sup>\u00a0achieves TMJ disorder symptom relief immediately by alleviating pressure on the TMJ and relaxes the muscles around the jaw and neck.<\/p>\n

The TMJ Appliance<\/em>\u00ae<\/sup>\u00a0treats both intracapsular and extracapsular disorders\u2014TMJ clicking and pain (intracapsular) as well as pain referred from the craniomandibular muscles (extracapsular).<\/p>\n

The patient’s teeth may become slightly sensitive in the early stages of treatment. This is quite normal, however, if pain becomes excessive, decrease application time with the aim to build it back up once the appliance is accustomed to and sensitivity subsides.<\/p>\n
