The product does not contain sugar, but the natural sweetener xylitol, which reduces the formation of plaque, forming a complex with calcium and protein in saliva and remineralizing tooth enamel. Xylitol is not cariogenic, so it does not bind bacteria and is good for teeth. Xylitol slings are ideal for travel, suitable for diabetics as they do not contain sugar, aspartame, sorbitol, lactose and gluten.

Why use xylitol products:

  • reduce plaque and acid-forming bacteria (acid attack)
  • promote tooth enamel remineralization
  • improve salivation in dry mouth (xerostomia), which in turn cleans teeth
  • ideal complement to oral care (does not replace dental care with a toothbrush)

Xylitol is most effective after eating. Xylitol displaces sugars that can cause tooth decay. The surface of the tooth, which would otherwise lose calcium and phosphorus particles that strengthen the tooth, retains its strength. Studies have shown that a toothpaste containing xylitol helps to bring useful minerals to the enamel from saliva.

The longer xylitol comes into contact with your teeth, the better. Therefore, xylitol-containing chewing gums, which increase salivation and thus the cleansing effect, are equally good, as are drops which are kept in the mouth. The proportion of xylitol in drops is usually higher than in other products (up to 98%) and the effect of drops is therefore effective.

What is xylitol:

Xylitol is a natural sweetener found in many fruits. Unlike crystalline white sugar, bacteria in our mouths cannot break it down. Therefore, there is no acid attack that weakens the tooth surface after eating xylitol. Moreover, the bacteria that cause caries remain deficient in energy and do not multiply.

Xylitol for children:

Most clinical trials have been performed in children who are most susceptible to caries. The recently orthodontic tooth has not yet “matured”. It takes about a year for tooth enamel to reach its final strength. During this time, it is much easier for bacteria that can cause caries to get through tooth enamel. Therefore, xylitol is most beneficial for children.

Recent studies have shown that those who regularly take xylitol products are less likely to develop bacterial ear infections.

Recommended daily dose: adults 4 pcs, children 2-3 pcs. Take after a meal
