The TMJ Appliance^®, which does not require any special fitting, is designed to act as an initial diagnostic and treatment tool for TMJ disorder. It works by decompressing the temporomandibular joint (TMJ), helps to correct mouth breathing and tongue posture habits, as well as limits bruxing. The TMJ Appliance^® achieves TMJ disorder symptom relief immediately by alleviating pressure on the TMJ and relaxes the muscles around the jaw and neck.

The TMJ Appliance^® treats both intracapsular and extracapsular disorders—TMJ clicking and pain (intracapsular) as well as pain referred from the craniomandibular muscles (extracapsular).
