With a thickness of 2.4 mm, the SOVA Max Night Guard offers the most protection of any SOVA night guard, yet is 30% thinner than standard EVA night guards, allowing you to talk, breathe and drink while wearing it. It offers customized comfort and is a cost-effective alternative to laboratory-made nightguards for dental patients who are not insured, or if insurance does not cover it. It is also an ideal solution for dental patients who cannot open their mouths wide due to acute pain.

Who is SOVA for?
SOVA is for people who want to protect their teeth from clenching and want to get rid of jaw pain, headaches and reduce teeth grinding against each other.
SOVA is good for people who clench their jaws during the day.
SOVA is suitable for people with implants. In this case, aluminium foil (or dental wax) should be used as a barrier when moulding the guard to prevent the guard material sticking to the implant.
SOVA is suitable for use by people wearing a brace. In this case, the orthodontist or dentist should measure the mouthguard.
SOVA is also suitable for people with jaw problems, also called temporomandibular dysfunction (TMD).
SOVA is suitable for people who bite a lot on the inside of their cheeks and who want to get rid of it.

When is SOVA not suitable?
Do not use with dentures and braces.
Do not use if you have caries, missing teeth or loose fillings.
Do not use if you experience pain when wearing the mouthguard. Stop immediately if this is the case.
Do not use if you have mouth sores or gum problems.
Do not use if the mouthguard does not reach your back teeth.

Instructions:
1. Wash your hands and material with mild soap and water.
2. Place the nightguard in hot water at 71-76°C (71-76°F). Use a glass or ceramic bowl.
3. Once soft (after about 30-60 seconds), use a metal tool to remove the water. DO NOT LET IT FOLD.
4. Open the mouth wide enough, place the thumb resting on the teeth. Bite down gently on the solid front bar then press the tongue against the material to hold it in place. Do not stretch the material over the teeth.
5. Quickly fold the guard with your fingers up to the gumline in front of the teeth and to the sides. Make sure most of the material is on the outside of the teeth. The material will not extend to the gum line. Once in position, close the mouth.
6. Place your tongue in the roof of the mouth and gently induce suction. Hold in the mouth for about 3-5 minutes until the material has hardened.
It is advisable to consult a dentist before use.
